The 2017 National Native Seed Conference will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Omni Shoreham is recognized as one of Washington, D.C's most historic landmark hotels, and has long been a favorite gathering place of dignitaries and world leaders. The Shoreham overlooks Rock Creek National Park, and is only 100 meters from the Metro, offering easy access to many area attractions such as the Smithsonian, the Capitol, the White House, and much more.
Guest rooms for are available for all conference attendees for $179 per night plus taxes, which is below the Federal per diem rate. All guest rooms have traditionally elegant decor and are equipped with modern amenities including HDTVs, functional workspaces, mini-refrigerators, and coffee-makers. Through a free enrollment in Omni's loyalty program Select Guest, guests will receive complimentary in-room WiFi; returning guests receive additional benefits such as complimentary morning beverage delivery and garment pressing.
Note: The deadline to guarantee a room at the group rate has passed, but the Omni is continuing to offer this rate to conference attendees on a space available basis.
If you wish to arrive early or stay late, the group rate is available 3 days before and after the conference, subject to availability. You may need to call or email the hotel to get this rate outside of the dates offered on the website.

Air travel: The most convenient airport is Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). Other options are Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI).
Ground transportation: Washington, D.C. has an excellent Metro system that is clean, efficient, and affordable. The hotel is a very short walk from the Woodley Park/Zoo Metro Station on the red line. Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are all abundant.
